Communication and information technology minister said that Nahid Satellite I will be launched in the coming year.
Iran’s minster of communication and information technology Mahmoud Vaezi in the ceremony of signing the contract of manufacturing new communication satellite named " Nahid II”, told a group of reporters that Nahid I and II communication satellites brought about great developments for Iran’s space industry.
He said that the process of manufacturing Nahid I was completed with all of the experiments carried out on it were fulfilled successfully, and that the satellite is ready to be launched in the coming year.
The minster of communication and information technology added that Nahid II communication satellite is more advanced than Nahid I. He hoped that until the end of the sixth development plan a domestic sensing satellite will be manufactured fulfilling the country’s needs.
"we have taken new steps in manufacturing communication satellites and God willing, after Nahid I launched in the next year, we can have a better assessment of communication satellites” Vaezi emphasized. "Iran is of those countries that has had a good performance in space issues and communication.”
