Armenian Defense Minister Vigen Sargsya told journalists on Friday that he will travel to Iran soon and will have an important talk with Iranian officials.
"This is a very important dialogue – we have many common security problems in the region,” he said.
The minister said he attaches great importance to interaction with neighboring countries.
In particular, speaking about his visit to Russia in late November 2016, he said that Russia, as a strategic partner to Armenia, is of the utmost interest to Armenia for it supplies ammunition to Armenia.
Besides, Armenia and Russia implement joint education projects.
They have also common interests in the Collective Security Treaty Organization, military interaction and the common air defense system.
Speaking about Armenia’s relations with Georgia, Sargsyan stressed that the two countries have the common goal of ensuring security and stability in the region, Akra reported.
He stressed the importance of Georgia to Armenia in terms of transit of commodities, including strategic, and joint programs.
