Iranian Minister of Road and Urban Development Abbas Akhoundi said the country is in talks with China for investment and construction of Shiraz-Bushehr railroad.
"Bushehr is very important for us and we discussed investment and construction of Bushehr-Shiraz railroad with Chinese companies during a visit to China,” he said.Chinese firms are investigating our proposal and "I hope that the project will start with a clear investment suggestion from china.”
He said that Iran is after international financial sponsor for the project,” he noted.
Akhoundi further said that Bushehr as a diamond of Persian Gulf can play a role in Iran’s development.
Akhoundi further added that Iran is after an international investor for building a new airport in Bushehr Province.
