An Iranian nuclear official said that the country has made the required planning to confront any breach of promise by the US.
"Definitely, we have and will have problems with the US and we have made planning in case of more problems. They are aware that hands of the Islamic Republic of Iran are not tied,” said Spokesman of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi.
He said if Iran is supposed to go back to the previous conditions, it will go back to the past quickly and will go even beyond it.
Evaluating the US one-year performance in terms of implementing the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), he said Iran’s disagreement with the US is a fundamental, ideological and strategic one.
"Thinking that our issues with the US will be settled through the JCPOA is wrong. Our problems with the US were not supposed to be resolved by the JCPOA, but we sat at the table of talks with the other side considering all sanctions specially the UN Security Council sanctions against Iran which came under the pretext of nuclear program of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
He said that the US is reluctant to fulfill its commitments to the nuclear deal, adding the US was after zero enrichment in Iran, "But the Islamic Republic of Iran could impose its demands on the other side.”
"We should act in a way so that they comply with their commitments completely.”
