Chairman of Iran-Foreign Joint Venture Association Hossein Salimi said Germany and France are on top of investment list in Iran.
"Permit for $11 billion foreign investment in Iran has been issued during the current Iranian calendar year (which started on March 20, 2016),” he said, adding 25 percent of the permission belongs to Germany for generating power from solar energy.
Over last years, there have been at most $3-4 billion request for investment in Iran, but the demands for receiving investment permit increased multiple fold after the JCPOA,” he added.
Investment requests mainly included industry, tourism and building hotels and motels, Salimi said.
Germany is working on a $700 million project in Iran for generating power, he said, adding, France follows Germany for investment request specially in auto-manufacturing.
