French Peugeot car manufacture has sold 3 million vehicles in Iran in 2016, thanks to the lifting of the economic sanctions against Tehran.
PSA unveiled on Wednesday its global sales in 2016: the French group has sold 3,146 million vehicles last year in Iran, an increase of 5.8%, French La Tribune reported.
Nevertheless, this flattering result must be tempered: it is due to the reinstatement in the accounts of vehicles manufactured in Iran under Peugeot license. On a like-for-like basis, group sales actually fell by 2%.
