Iranian citizens can apply for electronic visa to Azerbaijan online from January 10 and receive it in three days.
Official data said that 70 percent of travelers to the Republic of Azerbaijan are foreign nationals with visa-waiving system and the country is now witnessing a surge in the number of tourists traveling to the country.The number of Iranian tourist to Azerbaijan rose by 58 percent, Arab countries by 33 percent, Kazakhstan by 15.8 percent and Russia by 7.1 percent.
Iran is after establishing electronic-visa systems in all Azerbaijan’s terminals to facilitate transactions and expand tourism relationship.
Those willing to receive electronic visa should visit ‘evisa.gov.az’ and register their
application for visa online.
The system can be reached from all countries and round the clock.
Using the system, the applicants can fill out the application form and upload the first page of their passport.
They have to pay US$20 for electronic visa and fill out three
electronic forms in 3 minutes. Their visa would be available after 3 working days.
The system is available in Russian, Azerbaijani and English.
