Iran categorically slammed the terrorist attack in Berlin Christian Market, killing and injuring several innocent people.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi one more time stressed the will of the Islamic Republic of Iran to confront extremism and violence and eradicate terrorism.
He expressed hope that such bitter events would not happen again in future.
Qassemi also stressed solidarity and unity of all nations and governments for honest and purposeful battle against terrorism, saying that the issue is of great importance for uprooting terrorism.
At least 12 people have been killed and over 48 others injured after a truck drove into a Christmas market in the German capital Berlin.
Police and ambulances rushed to Breitscheidplatz, a major public square in the inner city of Berlin, on Monday where a truck plowed as far as 80 meters in to the busy market, in a move which was reminiscent of the attack on the French Riviera city of Nice in July.
