Tehran, YJC. The Khosravi border terminal has been reopened.
MP
Fathollah Hosseini told YJC on Monday that the Khosravi border checkpoint has
been reopened.
In a
letter to President Hassan Rouhani last week, 180 Iranian lawmakers requested
the reopening of the terminal.
Khosravi
is a border checkpoint in Kermanshah, western Iran, on the zero border line
between Iran and Iraq. It was launched mainly to let through Iranian pilgrims
heading Iraqi religious cities.
The
checkpoint was closed a few years ago after numerous terrorist attacks targeted
Iranian pilgrims on their way to the holy cities.
