Tehran, YJC. Iranian diplomat says that in order to resolve regional issues, political talks are needed.
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister in African and Arab Affairs
Hossein Amir Abdullahian said that political negotiations are needed to solve
the regional crises, from Yemen to Syria.
He made the remarks in an international conference on the
Syrian crisis in Kuwait.
Expressing gratitude to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and
Kuwaiti Emeri Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, Abdullahian said that Iran is deeply
sorry for the human loss in Syria.
Condemning the terrorist movements in the country, he said
that Iran has always supported two things to solve the Syrian crisis.
One is to support reform in the country, and the other is to
fight foreign intervention in its domestic affairs, he noted.
He further expressed pity that some countries violated the
demands, which further aggravated the crises.
The Iranian official called for joint effort to tackle the
country that has torn Syria apart.
Only political talks, rather than military actions, resolve problems, the diplomat asserted.
He went on to denounce ongoing airstrikes on Yemen as against international regulations.
