Tehran, YJC. Iran has rejected as untrue allegations about sending arms to Yemen.
The Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman
Marzieh Afkham rejected as false accusations of Iran sending weapons to Yemen, maintaining
taht the charges are entirely fabricated and false.
Such claims will by no means justify
recent attacks on Yemen,” Afkham asserted.
She added taht based on a civil
aviation deal signed between Yemen and Tehran, Iran has sent aids and medicine
to the war-stricken region using its civil flights.
The diplomat also called on the
international community, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)
particularly, to help the war-torn Middle East.
Pointing to the extent of damage and
casualties cased by recent air strikes on Yemen, the FM spokeswoman called on
international bodies to help prevent further foreign attacks on the innocent
people of Yemen.
Afkham further stated that Iran's Red
Crescent Society is ready to help the injured Yemenis.
