Tehran, YJC. The foreign ministers of Iran and China met for one hour on Iran’s nuclear program.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his
Chinese counterpart Wang Yi held a one hour meeting to discuss Iran’s nuclear
program.
The two met in Lausanne, Switzerland where Iran, the group
5+1, and EU representatives are seeking a way to approach the case.
Zarif speaking on the sidelines of the talks said that the
world powers need to show some flexibility in order for the sides to reach a
deal.
Russia Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will arrive in
Lausanne at 17:00 local time to join the talks.
Also, the British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond will meet
Zarif at 14:00 local time.
After talks with his French counterpart Laurent Fabius,
Zarif stated that the talks have been excellent.
He noted that he and his German counterpart as well had held
positive talks.
I think the two (Germany and France) have settled for talks
with some political will and I think that we had made progress and have moved
forward, he asserted.
