Iran, China end two-sided nuclear talk

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi held a one hour meeting to discuss Iran’s nuclear program.

The two met in Lausanne, Switzerland where Iran, the group 5+1, and EU representatives are seeking a way to approach the case.

Zarif speaking on the sidelines of the talks said that the world powers need to show some flexibility in order for the sides to reach a deal.

Russia Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will arrive in Lausanne at 17:00 local time to join the talks.

Also, the British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond will meet Zarif at 14:00 local time.

After talks with his French counterpart Laurent Fabius, Zarif stated that the talks have been excellent.

He noted that he and his German counterpart as well had held positive talks.

I think the two (Germany and France) have settled for talks with some political will and I think that we had made progress and have moved forward, he asserted.
