Chairman of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran’s Parliament said failure of Saudi attacks against Yemen is predictable.
Iranian senior MP Alaeddin Boroujerdi told Mehr News correspondent this morning that "war has always been the last option; Saudis have had an arrogant approach toward regional states including Yemen, and has resorted to all means in imposing its policies on this country, but has failed to achieve its objectives.”

"Yemeni nation has always been strong and brave, despite poverty and hardships, and Saudi-led coalition will not be able to defeat them. The Saudi campaign is doomed to failure and its negative consequences to the region lasting for years are predictable.”

On Turkish president’s recent comments on role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Iraq and Yemen Boroujerdi highlighted that "if Turkish policies in recent years are considered as a chain, one can see most of the parts of the chain have failed so far.” He continued that "Syria is a good example for it; Turkey has for years supported, armed and trained terrorists to topple Syrian government, but it has failed to reach its objectives and similar situation exists in Iraq.”

Iranian senior parliamentarian asserted that Iran always respects its Islamic neighbors, "but such remarks is not acceptable and are rejected. Iran is founder of Dar al-Taghrib [international organization pursuing unity among Islamic sects] and pioneer of Islamic unity; Turkish president’s claims accusing Iran of seeking Shia dominance is totally baseless.”

Boroujerdi emphasized that major part of Iran’s aids goes to ‘Sunni brothers’ like Hamas or Islamic Jihad who are ‘fighting the Zionist regime;’ "I hope Turkey would change its path to the right direction.”
