Tehran, YJC. Member of the Majlis Society Committee has said that the committee is going to put employment top on agenda for this Iranian year.
Farajollah Arefi, member of the Parliament Society Committee’s
board of directors, in interview with YJC said that the committee has made a
proposal to allocate 7 trillion tomans (each 2800 tomans making USD1) to
creating jobs for the not so well-to-do and the youth in particular.
He said that if the committee passes the proposal it would
create an upheaval in the affairs of the youth and labor.
The Jiroft and Anbarabad representative to the Majlis
further said that another proposal in the committee has been to reduce working
hours for women guarding families with poor children.
Employment has been a persistent problem with Iranian governments.
Iran’s Minister of Labor and Social Welfare Ali Rabiei said
on Wednesday that 600 to 700 thousand job positions are needed to be created
every year in order to put the employment status right.
