Tehran, YJC. Iran and the US are going to hold nuclear talks today.
Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad
Javad Zarif and US Secretary of State John Kerry are going to meet today at
10:00 local time Laussane, Switzerland to discuss Iran’s nuclear program.
The sides are accompanied by Head of the Atomic Organization
of Iran Aliakbar Salehi and US Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz as well as
German politician Helda Schmid representing the European Union.
Others attending the talks are Iranian deputies foreign
minister Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht Ravanchi and US undersecretary Wendy
Sherman.
The sides are trying to strike a deal on Iran’s nuclear
program by the self-imposed deadline July 1.
Iran maintains that any deal would require the removal of
all sanctions on its economy.
