Tehran, YJC. Iranian Foreign Ministry has denounced anti-Iranian remarks by Harper.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham denounced recent remarks by Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper as nonsensical and boring.
She asserted that Harpers conservative remarks serve domestic propaganda toward upcoming parliamentary elections in Canada.
Harper had criticized the Islamic Republic in remarks made on the Iranian New Year.
Afkha said that Harpers statements are very "shallow and hollow."
She said that Harper's remarks pretending to care for Iranian nationals in Canada come at a time when a parilament member from Harper's party had recently asked the Iranians to go back to their country.
Harper had expressed support for those Iranians who work in opposition to the Islamic Republic, stating that it welcomes those who are trying to set free of Iran.
