Tehran, YJC. Mother of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has deceased.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s mother Sakineh Peyvandi
passed away early Friday.
Her decease comes a day before the Iranian New Year.
She was ill and in hospital for a few days before he gave
away, Rouhani’s webpage on Facebook announced.
Rouhani’s brother, Hassan Fereydoun, who was in Laussane,
Switzerland attending Iran’s nuclear talks left the Swiss city for Tehran on Friday
after hearing of the news.
He was visited in Laussane early the day by US Secretary of
State John Kerry and Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz where the two US officials
condoled him on the demise of his mother.
