Tehran, YJC. Senegal, Thailand, and Algeria’s new ambassadors met Zarif Sunday evening to present their credentials.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, noting the long
history of Iran-Algeria, said that both countries face challenges of terrorism
and extremism in the region.
He stated that Iran is fully ready to cooperate with Algeria,
espeically in fields of energy, parliamentary cooperation, and the Non-Aligned
Movement.
The incoming Algerian diplomat, meanwhile, expressed
pleasure for meeting Zarif and hoped to reinforce the ties during his mission.
Meeting with incoming ambassador from Thailand, Zarif stated
the sixty–year relations of Iran and Thailand and prioritized strengthening of
economic and commercial ties.
The Thai diplomat also stressed the multidimensional
expansion of ties, particularly in fields of trade and tourism.
Senegal’s new ambassador also met with Zarif.
The Iranian FM, pointing at Iran’s high capacity to help
African nations, stated the development of economic ties and cooperation of
private sectors.
The incoming Senegal ambassador said that his priority is to
enhance the bilateral ties in all arenas, particularly in fields of energy and automotive
industry.
