Tehran, YJC. Management and Planning chief says Iran's next fiscal year national budget plan has been written regardless of political changes that may arise out of the nuclear talks.
Mohammad Baqer Nobakht who is also the government spokesman,
speaking to Friday prayers of Tehran before the sermon stated that the
government has wrapped the next year’s budget plan according to fixed criteria.
The government estimated revenue and expenditure sections at
224 thosuand billion tomans for the next year, he stated.
"Although some lawmakers saw it as optimistic, the final
amount was decided to be 236 thousand billion tomans. So, the sources and
expenditures have had 5 percent increase in the Majlis.”
He further pointed out that the Majlis has authorized the
government to grant the national budget at 220 thousand billion tomans for the first
6 months of the year, and then if it was sure of the incomes, it may add
another 16 thousand billion tomans to it.
Nobakht added that both the government and the Majlis tried
to make the budget as little as possible dependent on oil revenues, in line
with Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s guidelines.
