Tehran, YJC. Health official say that there is no basis to reports on the outbreak of swine influenza in Iran.
Dr. Abbas Zarenejad, Managing Director of the Public Relations
Office of the Ministry of Health said that people need not worry since there is
no case of swine influenza in the country.
He said that cases of influenza reported across the country
are of the seasonal type, which leads to death in cases, but there has been no
case of the swine influenza.
The seasonal influenza is nothing new in the country, yet
some people have named it the swine influenza and some others have called it
ebula and caused much worry, he stated.
He called on the public to avoid referring to non-authorized
sources on such issues since they are likely to be misled by ill-intending
people.
