Tehran, YJC. As the largest car manufacturing company in the Middle East, Iran Khodro Co. suffered quality loss in the recent years due to international sanctions. But it has announced new measures to make up.
IKCO has announced that more than 400 quality improvement
projects, 70% of which have been fulfilled, are defined in the company and
customers will see the results gradually.
Referring to the formation of the company’s quality
improvement council a year ago, IKCO senior vice-president Abbas Maleki Tehrani
stated, "We have placed quality enhancement high on our agenda."
The official further added that IKCO is also determined to
fully back after-market service for all new automobiles made by the company.
According to Tehrani, all quality issues have been studied
and pointed out, the company's quality standards are changed and the
instruction for supervising IKCO part makers has also been reviewed.
"We have launched a new system to supervise the performance
of part producers, with the aim of improving the quality of the parts they make,"
the official stated.
He added that since globalization demands high quality, the company is adopting policies in line with
globalizing itself, to which point, he noted, it has a long way to go.
