TEHRAN, YJC -- German cellist Anja Lechner is scheduled to give performances at Tehran’s Niavaran Cultural Center on April 17 and 18.
She will perform pieces by Bach, Ukrainian composer Valentyn Sylvestrov, Armenian composer Tigran Mansurian and Iranian musician Hushyar Kayyam during the nights, Tehran-based company Hermes Records, which is the organizer of the performances, announced on Sunday.
She will also hold master classes during her sojourn in Tehran.
Lechner previously performed concerts with the Tarkovsky Quartet during the 28th Fajr International Music Festival in Tehran in February 2013.
She also joined Armenian pianist Artur Avanesov in February 2014 to perform "Garden II” composed by Hushyar Khayyam in Tehran.
