Tehran, YJC. Minister of culture has lashes out at what he calls new-coming critics.
Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran Ali Jannati
speaking at the closing ceremony of the Fajr Music Festival in Tehran on Friday
criticized figures that cripple the ministry by finding too many faults with
it.
The job of a musician is a novel job, he noted, pointing out
that the settlement of the Eastern spirit in the Iranian music in the past 2-3
decades testifies to achievements gained in the field.
He also pointed to problems in launching the country’s
orchestra symphonic and promised that it will start by the end of the current Iranian
year (March 20).
"It is a pity that some political parties which have
problems with the Insight and Hope Administration try to misuse people’s
religious convictions and agitate the public by spreading false rumors,” he
said.
We know more about religion, arts, and music than some of these fledgling critics, he said.
Jannati added that the entire works given permission by the
Ministry of Culture undergo thorough content checks which make sure that they
do not violate religious norms.
