Tehran, YJC. Iran’s Molaverdi met with the head of the Catholic Church.
Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs Shahindokht
Molaverdi made a trip to the Vatican on Thursday where she and Pope Francis
held talks.
Women’s affairs and family in Iran were the topics discussed
in the meeting.
The Iranian Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs is
also slated to meet with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican Secretary of
State.
Iran and the Vatican share views on many issues including
the need for protection of the sanctity of life and the importance of the
institution of family.
