Tehran, YJC. The Iranian FM said sanctions have not been able to prevent Iran from developing its nuclear program, adding the one way to reach an agreement is negotiation.
Speaking in an open discussion session on the sidelines of
Munich Security Conference, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said the
opportunity of talks should not be missed because it never repeats.
The Iranian FM added the negotiating sides should respect
the government of Iran and they should talk only about a win-win game.
Answering a question on what will happen if there is no
agreement, Zarif said, if we do not reach a final agreement, we will take some
other way.
He added "I hope all sides will take approaches from which
all gain. Anyway, if there is no agreement, it would not be the end of the
world.”
The Iranian diplomat also refuted prospects of extending
nuclear talks and said extending the negotiations is not helpful and would not
bear any fruit.
The other sides are also for an agreement as soon as
possible, he added.
