Tehran, YJC. The Republican US Senator severely criticized the current American policies regarding the Islamic Republic.
John McCain speaking in an interview with Israel Hayom,
stressed that Iran has not changed its initial policies at all.
"I agree that … we started in one place and the Iranians
started in another, and the Iranians have not budged an inch,” he said.
McCain stated that he is pleased that the Israeli Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is going to address Congress and ˈmake Americans
aware of what seems to be the United Statesˈ acquiescence to a very bad deal
with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
"Well I happen to believe that the prime minister of Israel
is concerned about an existential threat to the State of Israel, which a
nuclear Iran would pose, and Iˈm very happy that he is coming to the Congress
of the United States, where he will speak to the Congress and to the American
people to make them aware of what seems to be the United Statesˈ acquiescence
to a very bad deal with the Iranians that could put Israelˈs very existence in
danger,” he noted.
"Paradoxical and delusional. This president and this
administration seem to think that if we get a nuclear deal we’ll have some kind
of grand alliance with Iran.”
He further said however taht "Iran is on the move. They are
now a dominant and significant influence in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and now in
Yemen ……… Iran is on the move everywhere in the Middle East.”
"We have already given away aspects of this negotiation
which negate the united nations Security Council resolutions. The American
desperation for this deal is clear and Iˈm sure that the Iranians feel this
desperation as well. I agree with the prime minister: we started in one place
and the Iranians started in another, and the Iranians have not budged an inch.
The senior US senator added "I donˈt think there is any
doubt. Letˈs wait and see what the final agreement looks like – if there is
such an agreement. But judging by the general outline, it can only delay the
development of an actual bomb. Look how they continue to advance the
development of their war heads and the launching systems.”
