Tehran, YJC. An Iraqi Kurdistan official has asserted that Iraq owes much to Iran for the full support it provides to the Arab country.
The Iraqi Kurdistan’s Agriculture and
Water Resources Minister Abdul-Sattar Majid Qader made the remarks while
at a meeting with the Iranian northwestern province of East Azarbaijan Governor-General
Esmaeil Jabbarzadeh.
Going into some detail on Iran's support for the Iraqi nation during tough times, Qader said "However we thank
the Islamic Republic wont be enough.”
He further said that the Iranian revolution has left huge
impacts on other regional countries, congratulating Iran on the anniversary of
the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
He also pointed to numerous common grounds for cooperation
between the two neighbor countries and called for more cooperation between the
Iraqi Kurdistan region and East Azarbaijan province.
The governor-general of East Azarbaijan province, in turn, stated
there are no limits for expansion of cooperation between this province and the
Iraqi Kurdistan region.
Jabbarzadeh added that East Azarbaijan is one of the country’s major economic, industrial and agricultural hubs, expressing
readiness to share experience with the Iraqi Kurdistan region.
