Tehran, YJC. The Mashhad Friday preacher has said that the West at the present time resembles the Arab world at its dark ages (the pre-Islam era).
Ayatollah Ahmad Allamalhoda who was speaking to a large
gathering of people in Mashhad on Saturday evening attending a congregation
called "I Love Muhammad”, said "The issue of confronting the prophet is something
that dates back to the very first days of Islam, that is, such acts were
carried out since the advent of Islam by enemies of the prophet.”
The gathering was launched as a response to a recent
satirical cartoon by the French magazine Charlie Hebdo depicting the prophet of
Islam.
"So far, there has been no one to stand before the prophet and talk logically, but
they have always kept insulting him.”
The ayatollah added "They used to call him magician in order
to deface him before the mob.”
As they failed to confront the prophet, Allamalhoda added, the
enemies started to resort to spreading Islamophobia. The West has come to
understand that their only rival is the Islamic world.
"They only thing that bothers the US like a nag is Iran and
the Islamic Republic,” he asserted.
He also pointed to the supreme leader’s recent message to
the Western youth and praised it as a miraculous initiative.
The ayatollah also pointed out that as Western officials
have kept reiterating, terrorist attacks such as what was directed at the
French Charlie Hebdo magazine have nothing to do with Islam.
