Tehran, YJC. The EU court has voted to withdraw the Iranian Tejrat Bank from the Union's sanctions list.
Deputy Head of Iran’s Tejarat Bank Ali Hosnani, said that Iran
has pursued the process of filing lawsuit against the General Court of the
European Union (EGC) illegal verdict on imposing sanctions against his fellow bank
since two years ago.
He stated "we
will seriously follow the issue till the full implementation of the court's
decision to end the frozen assets in European countries."
Due to the illegally imposed restrictions, Hosnani said, the
Bank would use all international and legal capacities to compensate damages to
the interests of depositors and shareholders.
He also said the decision involved the release of all of the
Bank’s assets in European countries and to remove limitations on banking
operations by Iran’s Tejarat Bank in the territory of the EU.
EU will have the opportunity to appeal within 70 days from
the issuance of the EGC verdict.
