Tehran, YJC. Larijani is scheduled to visit Turkey on Tuesday in order to attend the 10th meeting of the Islamic Inter-Parliamentary Union (IIPU).
The Iranian Majlis (parliament) speaker Ali Larijani is scheduled to deliver a speech at the 10th meeting of the Islamic Inter-Parliamentary Union (IIPU) which is going to convene in Turkey this week.
During the three-day visit, the Iranian
lawmaker will hold meetings with parliament speakers and other senior officials
from the participating Islamic countries for negotiations on bilateral and
regional issues.
The tenth conference of the
Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) will be held in Turkey from
January 20 to 22.
The union was established in 1999
based on an initiative by Iran and is the parliamentary branch of the
Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
It seeks to strengthen the
parliamentary cooperation among the Islamic countries in order to solve the
challenges with which the Islamic world is entangled.
