Tehran, YJC. On the anniversary of the assassination of Iran’s nuclear scientists, a drill in emergency response was launched at Natanz nuclear enrichment facilities on Sunday.
The drills were concurrent with the anniversary of the assassination
of the country’s nuclear scientists and attended by Asghar Zarean, Deputy Chief
for Nuclear Protection and Security at the Atomic Energy Organization.
The entirety of available capacities was deployed during the
drills, and the hypothetic enemy plots successfully met and neutralized,
reports said.
A ceremony in commemoration of Masoud Alimohammadi also was
held on Monday at Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant (FFEP), which is the country’s 2nd
pilot enrichment plant following Natanz.
The event was attended by the victim’s family and relatives,
Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohammad-Hassan Aboutorabi Fard, Head of the
Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi and a number of other AEOI
officials.
An Iranian nuclear scientist, Mostafa Ahmadi-Roshan was
killed in a terrorist bombing after two assailants on a motorcycle attached bombs
to his car on 11 January 2012.
A quantum field theorist and elementary-particle physicist, Masoud
Alimohammadi was killed on the morning of 12 January 2010 just outside his home
in Tehran as he was leaving for university.
