Tehran, YJC. Sources say that Iran has produced 263,000 tonnes of aluminum ingot during the first 9 months of the current Iranian year.
The Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and
Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) published a report on Saturday that 262,944
tons of aluminum ingot have been produced over the period which extends from
March 21st to the end of 2014.
The report points out that the present figure shows 2,000
tonnes more than the scheduled production volume.
The report added that during the 9-month period, the country
produced 112,708 tonnes of lime, 188,956 tonnes of alumina powder and 321,225
tonnes of aluminum hydrate were also produced.
The country’s aluminum ingot production in the years of 2011
to 2013 stood at 318,000, 337,000 and 350,000 tonnes, respectively.
The amount is planned to hit 1.5 million tonnes by the end
of a 20-Year Vision Plan marked by the country (March 2025).
The country is attempting to become the world’s 14th leading
aluminum producer by the end of a Fifth 5-Year Economic Development Plan, which
will end in 2015.
