Tehran, YJC. The Iranian Counselor in Afghanistan says that Tehran has provided special procedures for Afghan nationals which reduce the duration of visa issuance to two days.
Speaking to IRNA in Kabul, Abbas Ahmadi said on Monday that
Afghan nationals who are to travel to Iran can receive their visas in a short
period of time.
Ahmadi stated regarding the difficulties faced by Afghan
nationals for visiting other countries, they can easily apply for and receive
their visas via electronic facilities for the 1st time through efforts made by Mohammad
Reza Bahrami Iran’s Ambassador to Kabul.
Meanwhile, the counselor said, the Afghan travelers who
visit Iran can pay their visa fees via branch of an Iranian bank established
inside Iran’s Consulate in Kabul.
The counselor also announced that the Afghan nationals are
soon to receive insurance services while applying for the Iranian visa.
Ahmadi also said those Afghan nationals who had officially
married somebody from Iran will soon receive further legal facilities issued by
the government of Iran.
Iran hosts a number of one million (950,000) Afghan refugees
despite the voluntary return of tens of thousands of them to their country in
the past decade.
