Tehran, YJC. On Thursday, Iranian diplomat Mohammad Fathali held separate meetings with 3 Lebanese military officials to explore ways for increasing military cooperation between the 2 countries.
In separate meetings with the Defense Minister Samir Moqbel
if Lebanon, the country’s Army Commander General Jean Kahwaji and Army
Intelligence Chief General Edmond Fadel, Iran's Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad
Fathali noted that Tehran is fully ready to give military aid to the Lebanese
army and also to help the country in fight against terrorist groups.
The ambassador also congratulated the 3 officials as well as
Lebanon’s Christian military forces and citizens on the occasion of the new
Christians' year.
Fathali further discussed regional and international changes,
particularly present circumstances in Lebanon, with the Lebanese military
officials. The Lebanese officials in turn, hailed Iran's pivotal role in protecting
regional security and tranquility in the Middle East.
