Tehran, YJC. Head of Supreme Leader’s Agency at the IRGC has said that the forces will assist arming the West Bank.
Ali Shirazi speaking to Tasnim news agency pointed to the Iranian
commander Qasem Soleimani’s presence in Iraq to support Iraqi forces against
the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) said "The Islamic Republic of Iran
backs Muslims all around the world, regardless of their sect if it is Shia or Sunni.
In the meantime, Iran does not need to be physically present in those
countries.”
The mission of the Guard Corps’ Quds forces is to back Islamic
uprisings. But this does not mean that wherever there is a movement around there
world, the Quds forces must be present, he asserted.
Shirazi further explained "We rather convey experiences to
Muslim and friendly countries. It is not needed for us to be there in person in
order to convey the experiences. Maybe to convey our experiences to Iraq we
hold some meetings, which do not need to be held in Iraq either, since we can
hold them in Iran.”
Further pointing to developments in Lebanon and Palestine he
said "The Lebanese Hezbollah is powerful enough to stand against Israel by
itself. Israel is so scared about the resistance.”
Pointing to the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s assertion
about arming the West Bank, Shirazi said "If it is necessary for us to have our
military power there at the West Bank, we will provide the support; but this
does not mean that we would be physically present there.”
