Tehran, YJC. Rear Admiral Farhad Amiri, second in command of the Army's Self-Sufficiency Jihad says Iran is self-sufficiency in overhauling military equipment.
"Today, Iran’s military is
completely self-sufficient in overhauling and repairing equipment," Amiri stated
on Monday.
He asserted that overhauling
Tareq-class submarines, various fighter jets as well as overhauling and assembling
different radar sites are just a few instances of the Iranian military experts'
capabilities.
Amiri further provided comments on
the military's capability in building surface and subsurface vessels, and said,
"The military force is highly capable in building surface and subsurface
vessels; years ago, it had crossed the redlines that had been envisaged for the
country by the foreign states, one example of which is the Sina-class warships,
Jamaran-class destroyers and small and mid-sized submarines all of which have
been built domestically."
Army Commander Major General
Ataollah Salehi also had earlier this months praised the high capabilities of
Iranian Navy experts, emphasizing that the country could overhaul and build all
types of surface and subsurface vessels.
"Our capabilities are growing more
sophisticated each day and we have managed to improve what we have, and for
those we are indebted to Iranian experts' powerful hands," Salehi said on
the sidelines of a ceremony held in the Southern province of Bushehr displaying
the navy’s recent achievements.
