Tehran, YJC. Ali Reza Qorbani’s new album, Lost in Love, is going to be released in Paris by Accords Croisés.
Recorded by the French company Accords Croisés, the album is Qorbani’s new
work in the traditional Iranian music style.
Songs from classical Persian poets such as Abu-Saeid Abul-Kheir and Mowlavi
as well as the works by the contemporary poets Fereidoon Moshiri and
Mohammad-Reza Shafiei Kadkani make the lyrics for the album.
Iranian musician Saman Samimi, who is also a Kamancheh – an Iranian bowed
string instrument – maestro composed "Lost in Love”.
The album will go to the market with the French title Éperdument on January
27.
Qorbani has previously taken concert tours in a number of countries like
Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Greece, Turkey, Algeria and Ireland.
He also took part in the Sounds of Persia Festival in Toronto, Canada, and
the annual Festival de Saintes in France.
Along with a number of Iranian and Tunisian musicians, Qorbani has also had
Persian and Arabic performances in Morocco and France. The lovers of the traditional
Iranian music warmly welcomed him during the tours.
He has been pupil to accomplished Iranian musicians like Khosrow Soltani, Ahmad
Ebrahimi, Mehdi Fallah, Behrouz Abedini, and Dariush Tala'i, whom he has also accompanied
in numerous concerts.
