TEHRAN, YJC. Mohammadreza Bahonar says that polls show unfavorable results for the two former Iranian presidents.
Mohammadreza Bahonar said in an interview with Mehr News Agency that the Front of the Followers of Imam and Leadership has announced that he, along with Al Eshagh and Mottaki are the party’s representatives for the upcoming elections.

"This does not mean that the Front has only 3 candidates. For the time being we say that these three people are on so that things progress and we arrive at a procedure,” he added.

"The three of us had talks with Pourmohammadi and made agreements with him to join our coalition when he should start his electoral campaign,” Bahonar also said.

He then pointed to reports of one of his earlier statements as having said that Hashemi and Khatami hold high chances for being elected and said "In an interview I had said that in a polling Hashemi and Khatami have received a high number of votes, which made a lot of controversy in the press. But they didn’t record me completely. I had said that they hold high points in a positive polling but on the other side their negative votes are also high. We see that they have a 25 percent negative result compared to a 15 percent positive one, which makes a very devastating result.”
