Tehran, YJC. Secretary of Iran's State Expediency Discernment Council says the resistance economy strategies outlined by the Supreme Leader have to be implemented.
He asserted the resistance economy is a way to deminish the
effects of sanctions imposed on the country as well as hardship caused by low
oil prices.
Referring to the sanctions that are imposed on Iran by the
West and the falling oil prices in recent months, Mohsen Rezayee said that in
order to minimize the effects of the current situations, there is no other way
than acting upon the guidelines set by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei regarding
resistance economy.
He described resistance economy to be a plan for turning
threats into opportunities as well as paving the way for the country’s economy
to make a giant forward leap.
In February 2014, the Supreme Leader in a speech outlined a
series of general policies to boost the country’s economy and diminish its
vulnerabilities.
The statement, laying out a major plan for resistance economy
in the country, was issued after consultations with the country’s State
Expediency Discernment Council and based upon the 1st clause of article
110 of the Constitution of Iran.
