Saturday,20 August 2022 (YJC)_ Iranian Government Spokesman said the country will never forget the US-led coup in 1950s.
In a message on his twitter account, Iranian Government Spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi said the country will never forget the US-led coup in 1950s.
Referring to the 69th anniversary of the 1953 coup, he wrote “Three lessons of the 28 Mordad coup d'état remain forever in the minds of the Iranian people and are the criteria for Iranian politicians' decisions.”
He also added “The US is afraid of an independent and powerful Iran,” while noting that “Iran will never trust US as trusting it is meaningless. Strength, dignity, and sufficient guarantees are the way to deal with this country.”
Prior to this, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kan’ani also referred to this anniversary, blasted the US for meddling in other countries' affairs and noted that “The American government tops the world record in terms of intervening in affairs of other countries and staging military attacks and coup against independent countries and governments.”
