Tehran, YJC. Emami in relation to the operation of the South Pars Phases 17 and 18 refinery and says with regard to the progress of the projects the oil minister’s project for an increase of 100 million cubic meters of gas in December/January will be realized.

Company Morteza Emami said the refinery has started to operate with the entry
of sour gas, adding that currently sour gas of phases 6, 7 and 8 is being transferred
to the refinery of phases 17 and 18.
After sweetening the refined gas will be injected into the national
network.
He stated that the first phase of the refinery is
operational with a capacity of 12.5 million cubic meters each day, noting that toward
the end of January with the operation of the second unit of the refinery, the
capacity of gas sweetening will increase to 25 million cubic meters.
In the following month month, February, with the entry of
gas from the platform the gas sweetening is to increase to 37.5 million cubic
meters a day.
Emami also remarked that the 4th unit of the refinery of
phases 17 and 18 will turn operational early next year (starting March 21).
