Sunday,10 July 2022 (YJC)_ Deputy Chief of Iran's Judiciary said the county will do its best to release an Iranian jailed in Sweden.
In a meeting with Hamid Nouri's son, deputy Chief of Iran's Judiciary and head of the country's Human Rights Headquarters Kazzem Gharibabadi said the county will do its best to release an Iranian jailed in Sweden.
“Iran has taken actions at various levels to follow up on Nouri's case,” he said while noting that Iran will make every effort to set him free.
He went on to appreciate Nouri's principled positions against all the pressures and noted that “Nouri turned the limited time nto an opportunity to reveal the true nature of the MKO terrorist group.”
Prior to this, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian urged Stockholm to release Nouri, and stressed the need for the two countries to clear out differences.
Last month, family members of Nouri said that he was still kept in solitary confinement after over 2 years.
