Persian Gulf triple islands indispensable part of Iran

Tehran, YJC. Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham said on Wednesda that the three Persian Gulf islands of Abu Musa, the Greater Tunb, and the Lesser Tunb are indispensable parts of Iran.

She added that interventionist policies will not change historical facts, speaking in reaction to the statement released at the end of the 35th Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) Summit in Doha.

The Arab states in this conference they raised claims against Iran, Afkham stated the interventionist policies against Iran’s sovereignty over these three islands will not alter the present historical and legal facts.

"These islands are indispensable parts of Iran," she asserted.

Afkham further said Iran has always adopted the policy of maintaining good-neighborly relations, non-interference, and mutual respect in the internal affairs of its neighboring countries

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman also expressed Iran’s readiness to expand and deepen friendly ties with neighbors and to boost constructive interaction and cooperation with the countries

The the Greater Tunb, the Lesser Tunb, and Abu Musa islands have been part of Iran throughout history, proof of which can be found and corroborated by countless historical, geographical, and legal documents which can be found in Iran and other parts of the world.
