Wednesday, 22 June 2022 (YJC)_ Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman said that the recent report by the UN is based on claims raised by anti-Iran terrorist groups.
Referring to the recent UN General Assembly resolution on the status of the human rights in Iran, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said it is based on claims raised by anti-Iran terrorist groups.
“Such resolutions are politically-motivated, unjust, biased,” he noted while adding that Iran has presented its logical viewpoints on every article of the UN secretary-general.
“The UN secretary-general’s report was baseless and its foundation was on claims of terrorist groups, Iran’s detailed response to that report will be handed out to all countries’ representatives at the UN Human Rights Council,” he added.
In a relevant remark, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian noted the recent resolution approved by the UN nuclear watchdog was a US plot to force Tehran to make concessions in the Vienna talks.
In a meeting of the IAEA’s Board of Governors an anti-Iran resolution, drafted by Britain, France, Germany, and the US has been approved.
In reaction to that, the Iranian foreign ministry named it as political, unconstructive and wrong and noted “Such steps will have no results than weakening Iran’s cooperation with the agency. A hasty and unbalanced report by the IAEA director general made such a resolution, Iran blasted the resolution drafted by the US, Britain, France, and Germany as a wrong, political and unconstructive move.”
