Saturday, 18 June 2022 (YJC)_ Iran’s Foreign Minister called for an end to the United States’ sanctions and also the IAEA’s political approaches in this regard.
In a message on his twitter account Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian called for an end to the United States’ sanctions and also the IAEA’s political approaches in this regard.
“We continue talks & call on US to be realistic & abandon sanctions lunacy; & on IAEA to focus on technical duties instead of adopting politicized approach," he wrote.
He went on to wrote that “Iran won't distance itself from result-oriented talks. Abiding by Majlis law, we continue talks & call on US to be realistic & abandon sanctions lunacy; & on IAEA to focus on technical duties instead of adopting politicized approach. We NEVER hesitate to neutralize sanctions.”
Recently, Washington threatened Tehran with more sanctions if the JCPOA revival talks fail and last week, US President Joe Biden imposed a new round of sanctions on Iranian petrochemical producers
Also, in a meeting of the IAEA’s Board of Governors an anti-Iran resolution, drafted by Britain, France, Germany, and the US has been approved.
In reaction to that, the Iranian foreign ministry named it as political, unconstructive and wrong and noted “Such steps will have no results than weakening Iran’s cooperation with the agency.
