Wednesday, 1 June 2022 (YJC)_ Referring to the Metropol incident, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council said that the people of Abadan will overcome the difficulties.
Referring to the Metropol incident, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani said that the people of Abadan will overcome the difficulties.
He expressed condolence with family members of the victims of a tower block collapse in Abadan, and noted the iconic city will eventually rise from the rubble of the Metropol building and overcome the psychological.
“Two types of debris, one left from the building collapse and the other caused by the “politically bankrupt” elements loyal to the ex-Pahlavi regime are the things people who lost their loved ones are currently struggling with it.
“Authorities are doing their utmost to remove the physical debris,” he announced while noting monarchists, members of the anti-Iran Mojahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) terrorist group, and separatists had entered the scene to fuel the psychological warfare.
At least 38 people have been killed and a number of others remain missing following the tragic building collapse in Abadan.
