Tuesday, 31 May 2022 (YJC)_ Iran’s Permanent Ambassador to IAEA blasted the recent report of the organization and called it as unconstructive and destructive.

Iranian Official Blasted IAEA’s Report as Unconstructive and DestructiveIran’s Permanent Ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency Mohammad Reza Gha'ebi blasted the recent report of the organization and named it as unconstructive and destructive.

“Recent report by the IAEA on Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium fails to reflect Iran's extensive cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog,” he noted.

He went on to add that “Rafael Grossi’s report does not reflect Iran's extensive cooperation with the IAEA. This report excluded the detailed, reasoned and technical arguments put forward by the Iranian side and rely on the agency's predetermined assumptions.”

Gha'ebi finally noted that this approach is destructive to the close and ongoing cooperation between Iran and the IAEA and that the IAEA should realize the consequences of publishing such one-sided reports.

In its report, the IAEA claimed that Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium had exceeded to more than 18 times the limit laid down in the JCPOA in 2015 and also it is claimed on behalf of Grossi that Iran was continuing its enrichment of uranium to levels higher than the 3.67 percent limit.

The IAEA also released a separate report and claimed there are questions regarding previous undeclared nuclear material at three Iranian sites which were "not clarified" yet.
