Khatibzadeh's reaction to Grossi's report: It is not fairA spokesman for the State Department said of the report by the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency:
This report does not reflect the reality of the Iran-IAEA talks. After the agreement reached between Iran and the IAEA in Tehran, Iran had written responses to the IAEA, and several rounds of face-to-face meetings were held to provide technical responses and documentation from Iran.

Saeed Khatibzadeh added:
This is the same report that Grossi made in the European Parliament before the third round of talks between Iran and the IAEA. This report was summarized from that time and even before the meeting between Iran and the IAEA, and it seems that there is an acceleration in this summary. The report is not fair. It is feared that the pressure of the Zionists and some parties has caused the reporting route to go from the technical to the political space, and we hope that this route will be corrected.

A State Department spokesman said about the possibility of a resolution in the IAEA Board of Governors:
The Agency should have taken the utmost care not to deviate from the technical path and what was stated in the Articles of Association. Unfortunately, elements such as the fake regime occupying Jerusalem always tried whenever it was innovative and we came close to a change, we witnessed their behavior and interventions, abuse and espionage of the agency, and sabotage and seizure of documents. The agency should be careful not to easily destroy the path we came to.

Khatibzadeh stated in response to a question:
What is said in the American and Western media by design is an old tactic that is not new. What is being negotiated between Iran and the United States are issues related to Iran's economic utilization cycle and the opening up of all components of US maximum pressure. The issue of the FTO was highlighted by the Zionist regime and some American media, and since then our response has been clear that reducing it to this issue is not the position of Iran. For us, what this agreement must ultimately achieve is the definite benefit of the Iranian people. If some issues are included in the definite interest of the Iranian people, only in the negotiating table and the final image that we have in mind and the maximums and minimums that we have defined and said our red lines, and therefore these rounds will be done.
