Officials from Turkey and the United Arab Emirates signed two memoranda of understanding to develop relations in the field of defense industry between the two countries during a meeting in Ankara yesterday (Monday).
According to the Anatolian News Agency, a statement issued by the Turkish Defense Industries Department said that the two memorandums of understanding were signed by government officials and companies of the two countries in the Turkish capital as the continuation of defense cooperation between Abu Dhabi-Ankara continues.
The statement said Ismail Demir, head of the Turkish Defense Industries Organization, and Tariq Abdul Rahim al-Husseini, executive director of the UAE Economic Balance Council, as well as senior military officials and corporate executives, were present at the signing ceremony.
According to the report, Demir and al-Husseini signed a memorandum of understanding to develop relations in the defense industry between the two countries after meeting and discussing.
