Saturday, 28 May 2022 (YJC)_ In a message, the Foreign Minister expressed his condolences to the people of the city and the families of the victims of the collapse of the Abadan metropolis.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, today (Saturday) sent a message of condolences to the people of Abadan and the families affected by the collapse of the Metropol building.
The message reads:
we are for God and we return to him
The tragic incident of the collapse of the metropolitan building in Abadan, which caused the death of some of our dear compatriots and the injury of another group, caused deep regret and emotion.
The families of the diplomatic apparatus, like the honorable people of Iran, consider themselves the victims of this unfortunate incident and have seen the sympathy and grief of the bereaved families.
On behalf of myself and all my colleagues, I offer my condolences to the zealous people of Abadan, especially the affected families. I ask God Almighty for patience for them and for God's mercy and forgiveness for the souls of the lost, and I also ask for health for the injured in this incident.
